About Dust Rocket

Dust Rocket is an independent price tracker for robot vacuums in Australia. We watch what every retailer we follow is charging, line it all up in one place, and point you at the genuine best price on the machine you actually want.

Mission control

Every day we pull fresh prices from the Australian retailers we track and fold them into a single, tidy listing per vacuum - no duplicate pages, no stale tickets. You get the cheapest price going right now, plus the full price history so you can see whether today's deal is actually a deal. Set a watch on any machine and we'll email you when it drops, so you're not the one refreshing the tab at midnight.

Prices are only half the story, so we built our own measure for the rest. The Autonomy Score is our proprietary measure that scores every vacuum from 0 to 10 on how much of the work it takes off your hands - built entirely from the specs we already track, so you can check our working on any product page. It's data maths, not a verdict from a lab we don't have, and it's the thing that lets you compare machines on effort saved rather than just dollars.

No strings, just signal

We're not owned by a retailer and we don't take anyone's side. When you click through to buy, some retailers pay us a small commission at no extra cost to you, and that's what keeps Dust Rocket free. It never nudges the prices we show or the order we rank them - the cheapest genuine price always lands first. Our pricing methodology lays out exactly how the whole thing works.

Why does the place look like the Jetsons?

Fair question. The thing is, a little robot that scoots around your house cleaning the floors on its own is about the most retro-futurist gadget you can actually buy - the exact chrome-and-optimism future the 1960s promised us. It finally turned up, and it turned out to be a vacuum. We figured the site may as well dress the part.
